A wall and five reading desks coated with photoluminescent paint register visitors’ acts of switching on a lamp and reading, then return them only after the light is turned off as a phosphorescent afterglow.
In darkness, overlapping outlines of absence braid into a faint pattern, a minor glow that refuses spectacular immediacy. What emerges is not a literal transparency of materials, but a phenomenal transparency of relation: an interval that rises as delay within everyday life, where experience is consumed at once.
