About
武蔵野美術大学工芸工業デザイン学科インテリアデザインコース卒業後、日本デザインセンター三澤デザイン研究室を経て独立。インテリアプロダクトを中心にデザイン・制作を行う。
工芸と工業、用途と彫刻、計画と偶然のあいだに生まれる関係性をテーマに、素材や構造にわずかな差異やユーモアを与えることで、人・もの・空間の新たな見方を提案している。近年は色彩と知覚の関係をテーマにした作品や、新素材の研究開発にも取り組んでいる。
After graduating from the Interior Design Course in the Department of Industrial, Interior and Craft Design at Musashino Art University, Saki Takeshita worked at Nippon Design Center's Misawa Design Institute before establishing her independent practice. She designs and creates interior products, furniture, lighting, and installations.
Her work explores the relationships that emerge between craft and industry, function and sculpture, planning and chance. Through subtle variations in materials and structures, often incorporating a sense of humor, she seeks to propose new ways of perceiving people, objects, and space. In recent years, her practice has focused on the relationship between color and perception, as well as the research and development of new materials.
