​ヨコハマSDGsデザインセンターは、 生物多様性を育みながら、未来へとつなぐ 「ネイチャーポジティブ」の実現に取り組んでいます。 生態系の力をいかして持続可能な環境と産業の創出に取り組む ソニーグループのコーポレートベンチャー 株式会社SynecOとともに、新しい“都市のみどり”を育む挑戦をはじめました。 この区画では、50種以上の草木を組み合わせて生態系をデザインし、環境を予測しながら収穫や新たな植物の導入等を戦略的に重ねることで、生態系機能を多面的に高めていきます。 人間が積極的に関わることで拡張された生態系は、 自然状態を超える多様性と有益性を備え、 従来の緑化を超えた新たな文明装置として 多様な生物の受け皿となると同時に、 暮らしを支える多様な生態系サービスも生み出します。 人と自然の新しい関わり方を伝えるメディアでもある、 みなとみらいで育つ拡張生態系の成長を見守ってください。
Yokohama SDGs Design Center × SynecO The Yokohama SDGs Design Center is working to realize a “nature positive” future—one that nurtures biodiversity and connects it to the generations to come. In collaboration with SynecO Inc., a Sony Group corporate venture dedicated to creating sustainable environments and industries by harnessing the power of ecosystems, we have begun a new challenge to cultivate a new form of urban greenery. In this plot, more than 50 species of plants are combined to design an ecosystem. By strategically layering actions such as harvesting and introducing new species while anticipating environmental changes, we aim to enhance ecosystem functions in multiple dimensions. Ecosystems expanded through active human involvement possess greater diversity and usefulness than natural states. They serve not only as habitats for a wide range of species but also as a new form of urban nature—a “civilization apparatus” that supports daily life through diverse ecosystem services. This expanded ecosystem, growing here in Minato Mirai, is also a living medium that communicates new ways for people and nature to coexist. We invite you to witness its ongoing growth.
